Welcome to Moulton Parish Website

Moulton is a large village of some 3500 people in the centre of Northamptonshire (Rose of the Shires!). Situated some four miles north-east of the county town of Northampton, we are close to the centre of England. There are some 1000 homes in our community and the oldest cottages in the central figure-of-eight road system are built of the rich dark honey coloured local stone. The oldest part of the village is designated as a conservation area, and has many distinctive high raised pathways and several thatched cottages dating back hundreds of years.

The village has a strong community spirit, and is a warm friendly place to live. It has four pubs and a Working Men’s Club, as well as thriving church communities, lots of clubs and organizations. Each year in May, a week long programme of entertaining events is held under the title of Moulton Village Festival.

We hope this website will provide you with the information to find out all you need to know about our village.

Youth Ambition Awards

This year we are holding our third annual Youth Ambition Awards, which aim to showcase some of the fantastic things our young people are doing at school, home or in their local community.

Nominations are now open and we’d love to see as many people as possible nominate a young person they know who deserves recognition.

Attached is the press release we’ve issued today and we’d be grateful if you could publicise this via any parish or community newsletters or websites you have.

You can find out more information about the awards, including how to submit a nomination, by visiting, or click on the banner above.

Big Spring Switch

The Big Switch Daventry District Spring scheme has now launched. Please click on the image above for further information.

The Winter scheme saw 270 households switch energy provider in the District with total joint savings of 80,046 with 63% of people registering to take part then going on to switch.

If you would like me to come along to one of your local community group meetings to talk to a minimum of 20 people about this scheme and help residents register - please let me know. As the scheme closes on 18th May, the community meetings would need to be prior to this date, although the registration process itself is very quick and simple and usually takes 5-10 minutes.
